Other Games

This is primarily a blog about my Pokémon resources (since that's where I compete or collect the most), but I do occasionally need to make resources for other games. This is a hodgepodge of different games for which I've made or collected random resources. Credit given for external resources, of course.

Don't expect too much maintenance here, maybe the occasional article about how something works or spare character sheet.

Mahjong

I play Mahjong online occasionally, but finally found the opportunity to teach people how to play. I bought a Yellow Mountain Imports set (non-affiliate link) so they could play without memorizing Chinese hanzi, then prepared the following to make the game session run smoother.

  • Zung Jung Mahjong Website
Where I took our scoring system from. They have an explanation for how it works on this page (in English [hyperlinked], Chinese, and Japanese) and a "printable" summarized version of the point system, but I had to reformat it to fit on one page (and big enough for people who may have trouble reading smaller characters to read).

  • Unicode Sheet
Did you know Mahjong tiles had official unicode? They even work with <span>! Watch:
    🀀 🀨 🀟
Oh. Wow, that's small. You might want to make it bigger if you use these...

Dungeon World [1st Edition]

Sorry, I don't plan on trying 2nd Edition any time soon. I planned a campaign around 1st, invited players to a 1st campaign, bought a physical copy of the 1st rulebook, then they announced the 2nd Edition Open Alpha between session zero and session one. Half of the group (including myself) literally just bought a book and we were going to use it.
