About Rukinations
Gaming is an art. Game theory and design is a science.
Games are more than just the pixels on screen and the code behind it. Games are created with intent, and different elements interact with each other in different ways.
And those minute details can mean the difference between making or breaking your experience.
To be the best you that you can be, you need to understand the rules of the game.
On Rukinations, we explore how games are made and how different elements of games interact to create a memorable experience. We analyze statistics and game theory to dissect what makes games tick.
Not every game is the same, and that's what makes this hobby fun. Every game is unique to the experience you take from it. Even gamemodes within different games make a drastic difference.
Between metagames and in-the-moment calls, between competitive games and personal games, Rukinations reconstructs the game into a teachable moment to help you ruminate and improve your own game.
I'm Ruki
Since 2025, I've shared my notes and resources on Rukinations to help people be the best that they can be. This is my corner of the Internet to help inspire people to learn about their favorite hobbies.
I have experience in event management, event analysis, gameplay analysis, and game theory. Most of my experience comes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and the Pokémon Doubles Format, though I also dabble in analyzing challenge runs and RPG character builds.
If there's one thing you take from Rukinations, let it be this: Games are more than just entertainment. If you want to improve how well you perform in your favorite hobbies, spend time learning how they function.
